One of my favorite things from the past.Through Dodd Narrows – Sailing Home to Campbell River Join us aboard Lions Den as we bring our sailboat home from Victoria to Campbell River on British Columbia’s coast. This stretch takes us through Dodd Narrows, one of the most treacherous and narrow tidal passages between Mudge and Vancouver Island. We waited for slack tide before attempting the run—currents here can reach up to nine knots, and the channel is barely wide enough for two boats to pass. On board were myself, Brenda, and my friend John, with a local captain helping us navigate safely through.
