Words from the Wise is currently a one man band, but hopefully in the future it will expand to include a cast of amazing teachers that I've worked with overseas.
Because I am only one teacher, now, I am focusing on teaching what I know. But, despite focusing on the core traditional subjects that I know well? I'm doing it how I've always wanted to teach it - creatively, with interesting examples and focusing on depth as much as breadth.
The courses here will include both the practical - such as AP courses for History, Psychology and English Literature and Language. But, there will also be courses designed to provide an enriching experience for students who might not enjoy a course taught in public school. There's no reason why you can learn about Literature by focusing on science fiction and fantasy, and teaching US History without spending a month talking about all the battles seems boring, to me.
Let's have some fun, teach an exciting class, and make learning rewarding for everyone.
