There is a quiet kind of magic in slowing down and creating something with your hands.....
Hi! I'm Lori 👋🏼
The Tattered Atelier was born from a love of old books, worn lace, and papers that tell a story, but more than that, from a belief that creating with intention can be deeply nourishing. I believe that making art opens the door to beauty, presence, and self-expression. Here, you are encouraged to explore with curiosity and discover your own creative style!
Inside The Tattered Atelier, you will find:
✦ Beginner handmade journal series
✦ Various bookbinding and construction methods
✦ A variety of journal styles: vintage, shabby, distressed, antique lace, junk journals, etc.
✦ Mixed-media layering, texture, and dimension
✦ Distressing techniques: aging, dyeing, tattering lace and paper
✦ Timeless methods adaptable to many creative projects
I’m so glad you found your way here!
