🌱 First Day Reflection — Better Than I Expected

Today was my first day bringing Sing and Serve into a senior home, and honestly… it was better than I imagined.

I walked in a little nervous, not knowing exactly how it would be received. But very quickly, that nervousness turned into connection.

My good friend Jim came along and sang a few songs with me, which made the experience even more special.

I was able to meet some truly wonderful people, sing with them, laugh with them, and just be present. Certain songs touched deep emotional places — there were tears, smiles and laughter at moments, & a lot of singing along.

What stood out most to me was how quickly strangers became friends. Music opened doors that words alone couldn’t. It reminded me why this matters — why singing can truly be a form of service.
I left feeling grateful, humbled, and encouraged. This was a great, great day… and just the beginning.
