I’ve been homeless. I’ve walked miles in the cold to get my babies to school. I’ve held four kids on my hip, in my heart, and on my back. I fed them before I fed myself. I cried quietly so they wouldn’t hear. And still… I kept going.
Postpartum depression almost swallowed me. Some days I didn’t recognize myself. But beneath the trauma and exhaustion, something fierce lit up.
