Hi, I’m Sarah
a AUDHD PDA'ER counsellor, mum to four incredible neurodiverse children including two with Pathological Demand Avoidance \(PDA\), and someone who deeply understands the layers that sit beneath behaviour, emotion, and connection.
I bring both professional understanding and lived experience to my work. I know firsthand what it’s like to walk beside a child who experiences the world intensely — and the courage it takes to keep showing up with love and patience.
Beyond the Surface was created from a place of lived experience and heartfelt belief that every person deserves to feel seen, understood, and supported in a way that honours who they truly are. My approach is grounded in compassion and curiosity — exploring what’s really happening beneath the surface, rather than trying to change or “fix” what’s on top.
This community, is a place for parents, carers & supports to gain further understanding of PDA, access resources and connect with others on a similar journey.
