Up until now, technology has made music creation faster and easier, but AI is a huge step backwards, where the talented people who write, perform, record and produce music are no longer needed. Instead, we hear predictable AI-generated tracks that are lacking the human element. AI song software works by scraping \(stealing\) bits and pieces of real music, and it puts them together differently. Copyrights of the owners are ignored and nobody is paid royalties. It is the end of music being played by people. This is only progress for the software makers, and certainly not for the people who put their hearts and souls into creating real music.
