This Mental Models community was started years after I started reading Poor Charlie’s Almanack. After reading that book, I started searching for books, blogs, websites, and materials related to Mental Models. I was able to find an abundance of information on different Mental Models, but not a succinct way to apply these to my life. This community aims to provide a blueprint for how to apply these Mental Models to your everyday life. I want to encourage people to share new Mental Models and their experience with Mental Models, and how they have impacted their lives.

The caveat to this community can be explained by the quote:

“The map is not the territory.”

Even though there may be a Mental Model to use, it may not apply to a specific situation, or the situation may have exceptions. Caution with this blueprint, as “to the man with the hammer, everything looks like a nail”.
