The idea behind the living mat is simple. The first time I stepped onto a mat it was a mat in a dojo. I heard the words, "once you step onto the mat, the mat will always be beneath your feet." How true this was. About God, about Akido, about yoga, about life itself.

Now some 15 years into this yoga journey I have found something that helps me break through that "plateau" feeling. And I'm gonna go ahead and tell you, your not going to like it but you are going to thrive and fall in love with the energy and experience of life it produces. For those of us who have long practices and long taught, take the challenge. Take three classes, 5 minutes each. That's where we will start. If it changes you, come back, seek further.
