Our mission:
To build a community \(online and IRL\) that drums, dances, and celebrates the energy of Rio-style samba.

Social media and UK drumming groups have made Brazilian-style music accessible and enjoyable by all. This is amazing, and long may it continue. However, for more experienced sambistas, there are precious few opportunities to really let your hair down, to get together in the same room, with like-minded performers, to play with real intent, and to feel pushed.

Bloco Norte is a brand new project that aims to cater to this niche of self-confessed samba-nerds. A niche where an expected level of ability, understanding, and experience is matched by equal levels of support, sharing, and enthusiasm.
