The Apprentice Guide is a jobsite expectations and conduct program designed for apprentices at any stage of their apprenticeship. This program addresses the gap between what is taught in school and what is expected on an active jobsite.
Many apprentices enter the field without a clear understanding of their role, responsibilities, or the professional standards required to operate effectively within a crew. The Apprentice Guide is intended to define those expectations clearly.
This program covers foundational behaviors and daily responsibilities including preparation, tool readiness, communication with journeymen and supervisors, jobsite awareness, professionalism, time management, and initiative. Apprentices are expected to demonstrate reliability and the ability to contribute meaningfully to the productivity of their assigned crew.
Completion of this program ensures apprentices have reviewed the standards expected of them prior to site assignment or as directed by their employer.
