Hi and welcome!

This community is for people who want to slow down, and connect their heads to their hearts and their hearts to their hands through the creative art of sewing sustainably.

Sewing Sustainably means using upcycled fabrics and materials to make something new. In the case of leather, which is what I mostly create with, it means thoughtfully honoring the animal that the leather came from allowing it to have a 3rd life.

Sewing sustainably goes beyond using recycled men's shirts to make little girl's dresses \(that always seems kinda sad to me\).

I like pretty things so please post your creations and makes.

This is a no judgement zone \(although I guess I already judged those little girl's dresses\).

I'd love to see how you reuse and repurpose items that have already had a full life.
