You don't need to learn about scales, rules, exceptions, etc. to start playing, you'll naturally develop the knowledge and theory the more you play, and especially if you hang out around here. Playing piano is supposed to be fun, not be a task or a chore. We're not here to complete homework, we are here to learn skills in the most enjoyable way possible.
