This group is created for MDS 12 \(BUP\) students enrolled in DS-514: Power, Politics, and Political Economy of Development. It serves as a shared academic space for course updates, reading discussions, case reflections, and learning support.
Course Description:
This course examines how power relations, political institutions, and strategic behaviour shape development outcomes. It introduces major political economy frameworks and gradually applies them to the development issues, specially in the context of global south and Bangladesh.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
[ol:1][li]Apply political economy theories to explain real-world development case studies.[li]Analyze the underlying structures of power, politics, and political economy shaping major development issues.[li]Think conceptually and connect theoretical frameworks with evidence for academic writing and research.
