Quick Story:
After another failing box office return my wife made a request. "Can you please stop losing our money."

At that point I realised I had not been applying any of my non arts business experience to my craft to grow an audience.

I took a step back and noticed I had fallen into the same cycle I had seen repeatedly in the local industry. Work a day job, scrape together a bit of cash, put on a show to a tiny audience, feel good that I did something, make no money back.

So I flipped the script. I dug deep into the business side to understand why I could not make money. My performing arts business is now generating a healthy 5 figures in gross earnings annually and is consistently growing.

As creatives we don't get taught this stuff. We must share these skills. It is best to do that together.
