Hi, my name is Kathy. My nickname in the rabbit world in New Zealand was Rabbitnutz. It was my stud name and handle online. I bred rabbits from 1999 to 2019. My main breed was always the Flemish Giant. Over the years, I bred and took to shows, Flemish Giants, Standard Chinchilla, Rex, New Zealand Whites and Satins. I had the other old commercial breeds at one time or another too.
Over the years, I extensively studied colour genetics, health issues and nutrition in rabbits. I managed to recreate and show Black Flemish Giants after the colour died out 20 years earlier \(in NZ\), and won the age group at the North Island Nationals.
In relation to nutrition, I created a formula for my own rabbit pellets and tested them on my own rabbits. Creating a small business selling to fellow rabbit owners with amazing results. Larger litters, fast growth, shinier coats and much more.
I would love to share what I learnt over the years with you. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
